schuldheiszRev. Samuel P. Schuldheisz

Pastor Schuldheisz was born in Mt. Clemens, MI, a northern suburb of Detroit.  Having been born in the Midwest, moving from Michigan to St. Paul, MN, his family moved to Portland, OR where he spent most of his formative years from elementary school through college.  Pastor Schuldheisz is an alumnus of Trinity Lutheran Elementary School in North East Portland as well as Portland Lutheran High School.  Although his father, Joel, was a member of the faculty at Concordia University in Portland, Pastor Schuldheisz attended Concordia University in Irvine, CA.   This is where he met his wife, Natasha.  They were married on July 23rd, 2005 in San Diego, CA, Natasha’s hometown.

Having been a history and political science major for two years, he continued his love for history in service to the Lord and the Church as he switched to a theological major during the last two years of his college education.  After studying theology at CU Irvine, he entered Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN.  His vicarage assignment was to Trinity Lutheran Church in Palo Alto, CA where one of his main responsibilities was working with the students of Stanford University through the church’s campus ministry.

During April of his fourth year at seminary, he received the call to be the associate pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Huntington Beach, CA.  In his spare time Pastor Schuldheisz enjoys reading a good book on anything from theology to history and literature.   He also is an avid sports fan, especially of the Detroit Red Wings.
