Sunday School
Redeemer's Sunday School is a place for kids to come, learn, and grow in a Christian environment that is loving, nurturing, and fun! Rooted in the Gospel of God's grace, our Sunday School is dedicated to teaching the Word of God and assisting children in their spiritual growth.
More than 40 children participate in the children's program at Redeemer. Programs are open to any child and all their friends - there is always room for one more. The children's program is offered free and supported by the people of Redeemer and their generous offerings.
Visitors and newcomers are always welcome!
Sunday School does make a difference in a child's life.
GROWING IN THE WORD
OUR CURRICULUM
Growing in Christ from Concordia Publishing House
Our Sunday School teachers are welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic about sharing Christ's love with children. Classes are led by one or two volunteers who are responsible for planning, preparing and carrying out the year's program. These caring teachers bring children the “Good News” through study of the Bible, crafts, games, singing and other engaging activities.
The Growing in Christ curriculum is Christ-centered, innovative, relevant, engaging, and creative!
Growing in Christ is filled with age-appropriate activities and teaching tools that engage children in meaningful and relevant interaction with God’s Word.

TIME & PLACE
Sunday School meets every Sunday from 9:30-10:30 am in our Fellowship Hall. We kick off with an opening time together, and then break out into age-appropriate classes. Classes are offered for ages 2 through 8th grade.
MISSION PROJECT
For 2010-2011, Redeemer's Sunday School is sponsoring two children of Kenya named Phoebe and Joshua who are supported by Compassionate Social Care Ministries (CSCM). CSCM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which supports comprehensive care to orphans in Kenya. Their mission is to EDUCATE those who are unable to afford schooling, EQUIP widows and extended family members to care for orphans, and PROTECT children who are vulnerable and in need of care.
Please visit their website to learn more about their ministry and opportunities to provide support. Pastor Dennis and Deaconess Lorna Meeker, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya lead CSCM.
Through the Lord's work and our charitable giving, we can make a positive difference in their lives and can be proud of our participation. Thank you for your offerings!

MONTHLY ACTIVITIES
The Sunday School program also sponsors fellowship activities each month during the school year. Children are also invited to participate by singing in worship services Palm Sunday, Christmastime and periodically during the school year.

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS SERVICE
 This year on Christmas Eve, the Sunday School will be offering a children's service entitled "God's Love at Christmas". This service is designed especially for families with young children. Please join us December 24, 2010 at 5:30 pm.
A BIG THANK YOU to all our teachers, helpers, and volunteers in the Sunday School Program. You have graciously given your time and energy to assist children in their spiritual growth. Thank you for volunteering your time and talents for the service of the Lord.
